Founded in 2004 by Robert Sarkis and Sophia Sarkis, RJS Aluminium has grown into a respected and trusted name in the aluminium and glazing industry, known for its commitment to quality, custom solutions, and client satisfaction.

Robert’s journey began far from Australia. Born in Lebanon, he left his home country to complete his Masters Degree in Architecture abroad in Latvia. After completing his education, he decided to migrate to Australia in search of opportunity, driven by a desire to build a better future. When he arrived, he stepped in to help his brother’s aluminium business, an experience that would shape the foundation of what would later become his own company.

It was during this time that he met Sophia, who would soon become not just his wife, but also his strongest supporter and business partner. Robert made a pivotal decision: to start fresh and build something new from the ground up.

From the very beginning, Robert and Sophia approached the business with heart, courage, and a belief in doing things differently. One of their earliest projects tested their limits: “We took a job on a nine-storey apartment building in Wolli Creek,” Robert recalls. “I took the job even though no one in our factory had ever done anything that big.” It was a bold move, one that reflected not only confidence, but a commitment to grow by pushing boundaries.

The early days weren’t easy. Starting from scratch meant cash flow was tight. “When you have your own business, if you don’t have money, then you have to invest your time,” Robert says. And that’s exactly what they did, working long hours, taking on every challenge, and putting their clients first at every step.

At the heart of RJS Aluminium is a simple but powerful philosophy: trust and loyalty matters. These values aren’t just buzzwords, they’re the foundation of how the business operates. As a family-run company, Robert and Sophia believe deeply in the importance of treating every employee like part of the family. “Our business is our home,” they say. “And we treat our team and our clients like family, too.”

That focus on relationships is part of what makes RJS Aluminium unique. Unlike many companies in the industry, RJS is not driven purely by profit. “Making a huge profit is not one of our end goals,” Robert explains. “We’re focused on the level of quality we bring to our clients, and the standard we set in the industry.”

Robert’s background in architecture plays a key role in this process, helping clients navigate specifications, design changes, and technical challenges with ease.
